FWST PRESENTS ♣ THE JOURNEY OF THE AFRICAN SARTORIALIST

man in double breasted suit and pin collar DOCUMENTING GHANA 50sThe 50’s , The era of the extraordinary sartorial gentleman . As I sift through photos of gentlemen  from the 50’s  cladded in the finest example of what men across the globe have come to call the amour of elegance , I keep kicking the universe for my late arrival on this earth . My obsession with my heroes from this celebrated era has led me on a quest to document the quintessential  “African sartorialist”.  It might not admitted but the world has never got its head around the journey of the african gentleman  . ♣ It still puzzles how the African man settled into the architecture of a suit , was it a social step or warm sign of succumbing to mysteries  of what literally sat outside our culture . Pictured above is a Ghanaian gentleman sporting a single breasted jacket with  majestic peak lapels , his flawless grooming humbly distracting from the aging of the photograph . Feel free to drop any questions you would want answers as I discover the African gentleman and his journey to sartorial excellence . Teamfreshwallstreet@gmail.com
